On behalf of the parent volunteer board, the CCS Saints, welcome to the Christ Church School Community and to the 2007-2008 school year!  As the incoming CCS Saints’ President, I would like to take this opportunity to introduce the on-campus parent volunteer organization and myself.

All CCS families are automatically enrolled in the Saints volunteer organization.  The Saints work in concert with the outstanding CCS Staff and Faculty to enhance educational opportunities and build community through on-campus, school wide events and programs.  Events include Art Walk, Pumpkin Patch, Vehicle Day, Thanksgiving Feast, Snow Day, Pajama Pancake Day, Dad’s Day BBQ, Spring Carnival and more.  These year round events are made possible through the support, organization and staffing of parent volunteers.  The Saints also participate in yearlong programs that enhance the campus environment and parent-teacher relationships such as the garden committee, teacher appreciation committee and homeroom parents committee.  Each volunteering opportunity allows parents to personalize their children’s educational experiences: build priceless preschool memories working special in-class events, help build a sense of community among students and families during school-wide fundraisers or help to enhance your children’s education through on-campus experiences.  Along with hosting, organizing and staffing the special events/committees, the CCS Saints raise funds to cover costs associated with these school programs.
